Due to our progress and growth, we are looking for an Account Manager of Billing Operations to assist us in providing our customers with the highest quality service at competitive rates with emphasis on customized solutions based on the needs, requirements and culture of each health care organization.

Position Description:

Under the general direction of the Billing Operations Director, the Account Manager is critical in managing the day-to-day medical claims billing operation for revenue cycle management of assigned clients as well as assisting the Sales Team with perspective clients. The Account Manager of Billing Operations acts as a point of contact for staff and clients, assisting with complex, high profile and sensitive claims problems and revenue cycle management processes; identifying developmental needs, providing opportunities for improvement while continuously focusing on productivity, quality of the work and compliance.

Knowledge Requirements (Education & Experience):

Bachelors Degree or equivalent business experience in medical claims billing, customer service, practice/facility management in a health care environment.

±

10+ years of increasingly responsible experience within the medical industry (including 4+ years of medical management responsibilities)

±

Experience with various practice management systems to include paper/electronic billing, EMR, claims tracking, appeals, claims imaging and claims editing).

±

A thorough knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS coding guidelines and medical terminology.

±

Spreadsheet and database experience.

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Excellent customer service focus experience and excellent medical practice/revenue cycle management experience is absolutely required. Must be able to “partner with clients” at various levels to break through barriers and effectively solve revenue cycle management issues.

±

Act as the “primary contact” for both internal and external client service issues providing effective problem solving with respect to these issues.

±

Provide leadership, mentoring, and training for all employees of Billing Operations in the areas of customer service and claims processing.

±

Provide identification and translation of client needs/workflow solutions.

±

Takes responsibility for following all compliance guidelines when developing work flows.

±

Perform on site product presentations and on site medical revenue cycle management assessments for optimum performance and cash flow. Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify and translate client needs into system and work flow solutions

±

Ability to travel for on site client visits for product presentations and revenue cycle management assessments.

±

Coordinate regular communications between the Billing Operations staff and its clients in order to foster greater information sharing and understanding.

±

Assist to develop, administer, and maintain effective performance metrics and reports related to accuracy, productivity and quality of the data produced both internally and externally. Measure performance against standards and foster continuous improvement.

±

Provide guidance, resources, technical and operational work flow direction to both internal and external clients with respect to all aspects of medical revenue cycle management.

±

Serve as first line resource both internally and externally for day-to-day questions with respect to all aspects of medical revenue cycle management.
